Seven years....

Headspace by Sydney-based artist Julia Davis.
She used salt harvested from Lake Brown in Western Australia to create a cast of her head and shoulders. Afterwards, she then reintroduced the sculpture to its original source and documented its dissolution over a nine-week period.
Davis explores the experiential as well as ideas of temporality and duration with her work. She is part of the Perth International Arts Festival on now till Mar 3.
